You’re likely familiar with the more popular destinations in Kyoto, but what about Fushimi Castle (also known as Momoyama Castle)? ?? Located in southern Kyoto, this castle was originally built in the 16th century for Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of Japan’s great unifiers, and has a colourful history full of war, sieges and natural disasters! Today, visitors to the replica twin keeps can enjoy wandering around the peaceful castle grounds, away from the crowds and queues of more well-known attractions. ?
