“While visiting Les Almadies, a neighborhood near the fishermen village Ngor, which is known for being the most western point of Africa and Senegal, I had spent the whole day exploring the streets of Dakar, speaking to the locals and visiting food and crafts markets. One thing that stood out to me the most was how friendly everyone was to me, and how curious the locals were to have a chat. Les Almadies has one of the best sunsets in Dakar—so much so that I watched it almost every day, sitting on the beach looking out on the water. When I look at this photo, it transports me back to the beach. I can still hear the sounds of the waves, the smell of the ocean, and the beautiful colors of the sunset—reminding me of how beautiful our world is and how much I enjoy being close to the water. Having been in lockdown for a few months, I miss my travels and can’t wait to explore more stunning places like this.” ? @stories1st?Dakar, Senegal ?? Best Travel Photo
