As a result, the ubosot, which was previously restored by King Rama I, underwent further renovations. King Rama III ordered the construction of the boat-like structure behind the ubosot and the decoration of two monk’s houses with gilded pediment decorations on windows, doors, and the ubosot’s arched entrance.

One of the most interesting architectural features of Wat Yan Nawa is the boat-shaped chedi, which replaced Wat Khok Krabue’s old ubosot in accordance with King Rama III’s order. This boat-shaped chedi is the only life-size Chinese viharn in thailand, adding to the uniqueness of the temple.
