“This photo brings back so many fond memories from my time in Burundi, where I was traveling from Bujumbura to Rwanda visiting coffee farms in both regions, and depicts the warm embrace I received in this welcoming, vibrant country. I distinctly remember the smell of my freshly brewed coffee that morning and the thick humid air on my sunrise run, where I stumbled upon this wall while staying in Ngozi, a small city in the north. I distinctly remember wanting to capture the feeling of ‘rush hour,’ so later that day, I came back to this spot and patiently sat in the car, watching as people walked by on their way to work. Overall, this image is a glimpse of my time in Burundi. What I’ll remember most is having the fortunate opportunity to have met the faces behind the coffee I drink, and to put a name behind every bean. The more I travel, the more I realize, there’s far more that unites us than separates us. Coffee, sourced ethically, can be the perfect example of that—we are all connected.” @dancarter?Ngozi, Burundi ?? Best Travel Photo
