Al Quran Al Akbar
Friends traveling, traveling is one of the needs of most people today. Apart from having the purpose of entertaining yourself, traveling can also be useful for gaining insight and seeing local wisdom that needs to be maintained and developed.
In today’s world, the diversity of tours offered is increasingly diverse. Tourism can bring outsiders to visit a place and understand the various beauties in various regions of the world.
One type of tourism that not only spoils the eyes but also sheds light on is religious tourism. Recently, this type of religious tourism has a high rating in terms of the number of visitors. Therefore, the regions began to develop the potential for religious tourism.

One of them is religious tourism in Bayt AlQuran Al Akbar, new religious tourism, located in Palembang. This tour not only offers entertainment tours, but also provides knowledge and increases the love of Muslims for the Koran.
Location
Bait Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar is a religious tourism house. Inside this building there is a Qur’an from the largest wood carving in the world and is located in Palembang City. This location is a museum for the largest Al Quran in the world that has ever been made.

The location of this religious tourism is not far from Musi II Bridge, which is at Pondok Pesantren Al Ihsaniyah Gandus on Jalan Pangeran Sido Ing Lautan Lrg Budiman, 36 Ilir Village, Gandus Palembang District, No 1009. It is about 15 kilometers from Musi II Bridge.
Attractiveness
The process of making this greatest Al-Quran work takes quite a long time, friends, which is about 7 years. Before being published to the world, the Al-Quran was deliberately displayed in the showroom of the Great Mosque of Palembang for about three years.
The display in the exhibition room is intended so that the Al-Quran that has been made is corrected by all the people. Until the end of 2011, this Al-Quran has been judged ready to be published.
Precisely on Monday, 30 January 2012, the 6th President of Indonesia, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, inaugurated the Koran as the largest Al-Quran in Indonesia and the world which has been printed on wooden sheets.

This giant Al Quran with carving characteristic of Palembang city is actually made by Kiagus Syofwatillah Mohzaib. The construction only started after he finished installing the door calligraphy and ornament of the Great Mosque of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II.
After completing his work, he thought of making a giant Quran out of wood. This thought was finally stated in 2002 or according to the Hijri calendar is on 10 Ramadan 1422 H.
What is in the greatest Quran, friend? Inside there are 30 juz verses carved with typical Palembang carvings. This giant work actually requires about 40 m3 of Trembesi wood, you know.

Trembesi wood is a typical wood, original from Palembang. This condition also increases tourism promotion for the native culture of Palembang so that many visitors to other areas get to know the historical and cultural beauty of South Sumatra Province.
The cost incurred to make this gigantic work is also not cheap, which is around IDR 2,000,000,000. If you calculate it yourself, the page size is about 177 cm x 140 cm x 2.5 cm with a total thickness of up to 9 m.

Al Quran Al Akbar has a total of 630 pages and is also equipped with Tajweed and Khataman prayers. Each verse engraving is made on a wood-brown background and written in yellow embossed letters.
To see the whole from top to bottom, you don’t have to bother. Each page is displayed in a row so that it makes it easier for visitors to see one page at a time.

Price of admission
Friends, to enjoy this religious holiday, it turns out that you don’t have to pay expensive fees, you know. Visitors only need to pay for a ticket for IDR 5,000 per person at the entrance counter. This place also provides various types of Palembang souvenirs.
Amenities
In the building where Al Quran Al Akbar is located, there are five floors, each floor has its own uniqueness. The first floor is a place where banknotes are stored in a glass room and locked. This money is donated money.

On the top floor of the building there is also a prayer room that allows visitors to perform worship in this holiday area. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery and original architectural styles of Palembang by visiting this place.
Unfortunately, the location of the building that stores this giant Al Quran is quite small when compared to what is contained in it. However, there is no denying that the entire vacation spot is a form of art that has high aesthetic value and is also worthy of promotion.

There is no need to worry about being hungry too because around the tourist attractions there are also several small tent stalls selling food so that they can help tourists in case they feel hungry or thirsty.
Well, how about a little friend of our tour profile this time? Hopefully it can inspire you for your next vacation. Don’t forget to continue to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the vacation spots you visit.
Please also share your beautiful moments when traveling in the form of pictures, photos, videos. But still pay attention to privacy, my friend.

Finally, happy holidays and greetings from a traveler.
