“Jaipur is a complex and diverse city, whether we’re talking about the people or the way life here seems to transcend time. It maintains its noble and magnificent Mahajara-era splendor even while cars and motorbikes bustle against the backdrop of its centuries-old architecture. In the mornings, the smell of chana dal, curry lentils, and fried lahsun from the street vendors signaled the beginning of the morning commute, and all the bustle almost made me forget my plan to reach the Pink Palace early. And once on the inside of these beautiful walls, the chaos disappeared just as quickly as it had swept me up. Everything in here was quiet, calm, and peaceful, and the welcome I received just added to the charm: a guard in traditional garb sparked a conversation with me to explain the region’s cultural head wraps and their respective meanings, before offering to re-tie mine in the style of his hometown. Afterwards, we took a photo together on his phone so that he could show his family. It made me truly appreciate just how wide this world is, and how many people are experiencing something different together, all at the same time.”? @worldbossmiseh?Jaipur, Rajasthan, India ??
