“In the Sawtooths, nature is raw, real, and untouched. It draws in those who wish to just be; to coexist peacefully with the beauty of nature. This small little lake was spotted along the way to one of the most popular lakes in the Sawtooth Range. Here, you can walk right down to the lake, but instead of detouring down to its shores, I decided to admire the view from the higher vantage point as we continued up the switchbacks. Despite all this, I didn’t find the initial moment too spectacular, so we continued up to Sawtooth lake. It was the first time all summer that it was warm enough outside to go for an alpine dip, so we braved the cold water and went for a swim. It was epic, unforgettable, and quite possibly the coldest lake I’ve ever swum in (I went numb after 30 seconds)! It was a shock of absolute clarity, and afterward, on the way, that’s when a new perspective caught my eye amongst these wildflowers. Every time I look at this photo, I can’t help but think of the magic of the mountains, never leaving you uninspired.” ?@gabirobledo_ ?Sawtooth Range, Idaho, USA ?? Best Travel Photo
