Oysters are undoubtedly one of the must-try seafood dishes in Hiroshima. In the winter season, the oysters are especially delicious with their above-average size, tender and juiciness.
Every year, the Miyajima Oyster Festival in Hiroshima is held over two days of the weekend in early February. As the event is held right in front of Miyajima Pier, visitors stepping off the ferry are sure to be lured over to the festival grounds by the fragrant aroma of fried oysters.
All the oyster dishes will be sold at a discount, many of which are only 100 yen per oyster (that’s a steal!). Don’t miss out on this oyster fest if you’re in Hiroshima!
