









Did you know that Greenland is not just about the ice cap and icebergs – that in summertime, the landscape blooms in flowers, grass, bushes and trees? Fun fact, there are no trees in Greenland – only human planted. However, some bushes grow big. And the national flower is the fireweed called Niviarsiaq in Greenlandic, meaning ‘young woman’. That there are several edible plants and the most common herb for tea and medicine is the Rhododendron groenlandicum.
