Cheer up! Let’s light up the skies during these dark times with hanabi!

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many of Japan’s firework festivals have been cancelled this year. However, keep your eyes peeled to the sky this summer for some “Cheer up! Hanabi” fireworks. ‘Cheer Up! Hanabi” is a project with all 47 prefectures in Japan participating. Each prefecture will launch fireworks shows with secret dates and times throughout this summer, expressing hope for the end to the pandemic.
