“Built in the early 1800s to honor those who have fought and sacrificed their lives for France during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, The Arc de Triomphe stands as one of the most famous monuments in all of Paris. In 2017, I visited the ‘City of Light’ and was fortunate enough to photograph this historic piece of architecture from the sky. After I shared this image on Instagram, I noticed more and more photographers from all over the world visited Paris to capture a similar style of photo. The success and popularity of that image was an incredibly proud moment for me. Fast forward three years later, I returned to the exact same place to capture a new perspective and atmosphere. This time around, I waited for the sun to set as the reflection of the sun’s light illuminated on the triumphal arch, allowing for it to stand out as the main subject. Off in the distance, thankfully, a few clouds appeared, and I was able to play on the dark side of the photo and bring out more elements that I loved about this image. In conclusion, when I look at this photo, I’m reminded that even if a photo has been replicated in a particular place, it’s always possible to capture something new by approaching moments with a new perspective.” ? @sebastien.nagy?Paris, France ??
