“A few years ago my boyfriend and I hit the road and went on an adventure of a lifetime; road-tripping from Los Angeles to Canada, hitting every National Park in between. While researching the state of Utah, we stumbled upon Reflection Canyon and absolutely fell in love with its isolation in the skirts of Lake Powell. Reflection Canyon is only accessible for a small window each year. To reach this point, we had to hike 16.7 miles round-trip in the blazing heat. Once we finally got to the iconic canyon, we just sat there in amazement as we were the only two people there. Before we headed back to the trail, we had to capture this moment during sunrise. It was the last photo I was able to take before my camera completely shut down and would not turn back on for the rest of our trip—I think it was a pretty good one!

When I look back at this photo, I still remember how hard this hike was (almost running out of water), but how rewarding it was to finally make it to our goal. Reflection Canyon is one of those places that you put on your bucket list, never quite knowing whether you are going to be able to accomplish it… and we did—so that’s pretty spectacular.” ? @prettyliltraveler?Reflection Canyon, Utah, USA ??
