This annual free festival is the only authentic Aboriginal light event of its kind with 10 nights of light installations from a number of aboriginal artists set against the majestic MacDonnell Ranges. Alongside the artworks you can enjoy a program packed full of live talks, events and music by local and national musicians. Wondering what the name means? Local, senior Arrernte people chose the name ‘Parrtjima’ (pronounced Parr-Chee-Ma) as it suggests shedding both light and understanding on a subject.
