22. Karanganyar Strawberry Garden

With an area of 2000 meters2, this agro-tourism is planted with 13 types of strawberries which are cultivated without using pesticides and other drugs at all, so that once they are picked they can be eaten immediately.

The existence of the fort that was built in 1774 – 1779 by the Dutch colonial government on the orders of Governor General Baron van Imhoff is certainly very interesting for fans of historical tourism.

According to historical records, the fort occupied an area of 40,000 meters2 it was occupied and renovated by British troops in 1794, before being recaptured by the Dutch in 1832.

As one of the old cities, Salatiga is rich in interesting historical heritage objects, one of which is the Plumpungan Inscription Cultural Heritage which occupies an area of 2,765 meters.2.
The Plumpungan inscription is a stone inscribed with andesite type with a size of 170 x 160 cm2 and 5 meters in circumference which was made on July 24, 750 AD.
The inscription, written in Old Javanese letters in Sanskrit, contains tax exemption in the form of land for the Solotigo or Salatiga region and its surroundings by King Bhanu.
Apart from the inscriptions, you can also find statues and phallus yoni which were built in the Hindu era and are still well preserved in the same place.
