The origin is called umbul, in Javanese it means rising or rising. The water source that comes out of the pool looks like a rising bubble.
At the umbul temple bath, the pool is divided into two. For the first pool above is a hot water pool that contains sulfur, and the second pool which is in a lower place is a cold water pool. In the pool, according to historians, was the bathing place for the sons and daughters of the nobles.

The walls of the pool are made of andesite, besides that the rocks lining the edge of the pool show various reliefs such as animals, plants and stupas from the top of the temple.
In every corner of the pool there is also a base or foundation at the bottom of the pool. The function of this umpak was previously possible as a seat for meditating knights in the kingdom.

The hot spring baths of the umbul temple contain sulfur, but do not smell of sulfur at all like other hot sulfur pools. However, the benefits of sulfur itself are still very good for the cult.
The benefits of sulfur include helping to cure various skin diseases, blood circulation and the temperature of the hot water here, which is very helpful for bone therapy.

Like the Jakatarub story you have heard before, the angel named Nawangwulan finally could not return to heaven.
The natural beauty of the Sekar Langit waterfall really stole people’s attention, so that it was used as a film shooting place for shooting from the 1983 film Yohana Gadis Rimba.
Several years earlier, the route to the entrance to the Sekar Langit waterfall area was damaged due to landslides. However, currently the local government has made improvements, so that it will increase tourist arrivals back to this area.
