Besides Wonosobo district which is famous for its Dieng Plateau tourist area. Central Java still has several other districts that are no less interesting to serve as tourist destinations.
And the choice of our review this time, is Purworejo district, which is located about 55 kilometers from Wonosobo district. In this regency, there is a new tourist attraction whose popularity has started to climb in the last two years.
Jetis beach is located in the village of tebrejo, grabag sub-district, Purworejo district, Central Java, which seems to have been reborn after getting a touch of reclamation from PT Aneka Mining
This PT carried out reclamation, after ending its iron sand excavation on the beach in 2007. Therefore, for those who have come here in the 2008-2009 period. You may still find that there are holes that have not been leveled around the coast.
But now the jetis beach has really changed. The efforts of the local government and the surrounding community to make it a tourist location finally paid off.
After years of polishing with additional rides and facilities, this beach is starting to be glimpsed and gets a surge in visits every year. And at this time, reportedly the tourists who come every week reach an average of 800-1000 people.
Black sand and big waves are the characteristics of most beaches in the southern area of the island of Java, including Jetis beaches.
Therefore, to avoid unwanted risks, tourists are more advised to enjoy tourist rides on the beach rather than swimming into the middle of the sea.
In line with that, the management has also built many interesting spots around the coast. These spots can be used by visitors as a relaxing location or photo hunting.
One of the most famous and superior spots in this place is the umbrella park ride. Apart from being instagramable for photo spots, the location is also quite cool with hundreds of pine trees growing greening the location.
As an illustration, this umbrella park is a park in which there are lots of pine trees. Then on top of each section of the park road, decorated with colorful umbrellas. In addition, some pine trees have also provided hammocks as a place to rest.
Furthermore, another spot that is often hunted by travelers while on Jetis beaches is the stage or viewing post. The tourists usually use this spot as a place to take pictures with their partner.
There are several viewing posts in this tourist attraction, their shape and height are different. What is quite interesting is a viewing post with a height of 3 meters decorated with heart-shaped flower carvings.
Because of the heart-shaped decoration, many tourists choose this substation as a selfie spot or take pictures with their loved ones.
In addition, this substation is also not very high compared to other substations. So that anyone is certainly not afraid to go up on it.
The seriousness of the local government together with the surrounding community in developing the potential of Jetis beaches as a tourist attraction is not only limited to the construction of tourist vehicles.
However, to provide a sense of comfort and make visitors feel at home for a long time at the location, several supporting facilities have also begun to be completed gradually.
To accommodate visitors’ vehicles, the manager has provided a large enough parking area next to the entrance, complete with parking attendants who will guard your vehicle all day long.
Then around the beach, several gazebos stand as a place to rest and place supplies for visitors.
Other facilities such as toilets and prayer rooms are also available, and if you run out of supplies, drink and food stalls have been prepared.
Besides pampering yourself in the umbrella garden and taking pictures at the viewing post. Some activities that are synonymous with beach tourism can also be done here. These activities include:
- Take a leisurely walk while watching the waves
As an opening activity, you can take a walk along the beach. While enjoying the strong wind, you can watch the hardness of the jetis beach waves roll.
Don’t forget to prepare a camera, who knows if you find something interesting and want to take a picture.
This one activity is very close to beach tourism, if you like it, then you can also do it here. You can draw or build a replica of anything using the black sand of the jetis beach.
Or. You can warm yourself by immersing yourself in the black sand.
If you come or are at a beach location until late afternoon, or rather until sunset time arrives. So from here you can witness the beauty of the moment when the sun seems to be sinking into the ocean floor.
The sea water sparkled like flakes of gold when exposed to the sun’s rays. It’s really a very beautiful sight, you certainly want to capture it with a camera right?
