Colleagues can go to the resort in various ways, one of which is of course by using a private vehicle. Tlogo Plantation is on the main road of Jalan Solo-Semarang so it is certainly not that difficult to find this location.
If you are driving from the direction of Solo, before there is a bridge, turn right towards Tuntang Station. This road only fits about two cars. Then, you will arrive at the Tlogo Plantation Resort pavilion.
Tlogo Plantation is made with a typical Dutch building architecture. You will be greeted in the classic style of the colonial era several hundred years ago. The building still stands firmly and captivates anyone who sees it.
As a resort located in a mountainous area, of course Tlogo Plantation is surrounded by very cool and beautiful air. Moreover, it is located close to Kopeng and Ambarawa. This high class accommodation is divided into several buildings.
The pendopo building, for example, is usually used and rented for various activities such as dinner parties, or also for weddings. As is typical for the pavilion in general, in the room there are several wooden tables and chairs, as well as a chandelier.
Uniquely, below the ground from the pavilion it turns out to be a tomb. When staying at Tlogo Plantation, in this place there is a plantation built on 414 ha of land.
Initially, the initiator and developer of this plantation was NV Cultuur Marschappy, a Dutch company. In the first year it was built, namely 1838, this plantation planted more cocoa.
The foreman who is in charge of this plantation lives with his family in the pavilion. However, in 1872, Mount Merapi erupted and damaged several sides of the Tlogo Plantation Pendopo building.
As a result, Van Baasgeul rebuilt the Pendopo of Tlogo Plantation in 1901. Until finally the Indonesian government took over management in 1954. Currently, the Central Java government is in charge of managing the plantation.
Over time, the government built inns and resorts to support tourism for their cocoa plantations. The government also added other commodities to be planted such as cloves, coffee, rubber, cinnamon and nutmeg.
The randhu tree is also planted, which annually can produce about 25 to 30 tons of cotton. Wow, there are so many friends from this plantation. Then can we get around in this place?
Certainly can. Tlogo Plantation also provides tour tour facilities guided by a staff or resort employee. Through this tour, colleagues will get various insights into knowledge about rubber and coffee plantations.
You will be invited to observe how the rubber sap tapping process, the process for cultivating trees, and other things that need to be known to be able to tap rubber trees. This is not just anyone.
Usually, the rubber tree can be harvested when it is around 6 years old. After the trees are old enough, the rubber must be felled. Rubber trees that are no longer productive are usually tapped in a full circle of rubber trunks.
In this place, you will also be introduced to the process for producing rubber. Starting from tapping the sap from the tree, to making rubber latex sheets that are ready for production.
Rubber production is also not only used locally, rubber from Tlogo Plantation plantations can even be exported abroad. They provide special processing to the latex so that it is odorless and has prime quality.
