Talking about Jepara, of course, you will remember the tragedy of the sinking of KM Johnson at Perta Lomban on August 16, 2013 ago.
This ship accident was the first time that Jepara was sad and traumatized. Even though at that time Lomban tourism was the mainstay of this city.
As a result, tourist interest has dropped dramatically, most of them feel afraid if they cross and the boat they are on capsizes and then sinks.
Not only tourists, fishermen are also absent from fishing. Until now this incident still leaves a mystery unsolved.
It took a long time to revive the passion of tourists, which is why the local government has succeeded in attracting tourists again through incredibly beautiful tourist destinations.
So, if all this time Jepara is known as Karimunjawa which is very beautiful and charming, it still exists pearl Another equally beautiful name is Pulau Panjang.
The island is located in the Ujung Batu Village, Jepara District, Central Java.
Panjang Island is directly adjacent to the Java Sea to the east while the south and west is bordered by Jepara and to the north it is bordered by Karimunjawa.

No wonder that Pulau Panjang is still known as Virgin Island and one of the hidden paradises with panoramic views so breathtaking.
History of Pulau Panjang in Jepara City
Before tasting the paradise on earth that is served on Panjang Island, it’s good to know a little about the history of this island.
Panjang Island was discovered by a Sheikh named Abu Bakr Bin Yahya Ba’alawy. He is known as a propagator of Islam, especially in Jepara.
Not surprisingly, after the death of Sheikh Abu Bakr bin Yahya Ba’alawy was buried on Panjang Island.
Because of the large number of people who come for pilgrimages, the tomb area is equipped with a mosque, a pavilion and a bathroom.
This is done so that pilgrims will be more comfortable and special when praying for the deceased.
